Each year Local 963 offers four $1,000 Educational Bursaries to dependent children of members in good standing. The deadline for this year is May 22, 2020.
The bursary recipient must be entering the first or subsequent term of a full-time or correspondence course of study of at least six (6) months in length leading to a diploma, certificate or degree from any recognized public or private Canadian college or university or accredited Trades school.
Given the current public health crisis the 2020 bursary winners will most likely be contacted individually to make arrangements to receive the bursary in a responsible manner.

Dear Tim, Tim and Harj,
With all the recent snow and ice I would like to, on behalf of the Board, thank all the IUOE members who have worked so hard to clear school sites so that students and staff can get safely to and from their schools. At every school snow has to be shoveled and the cleared paths salted and trustees appreciate that this work has been a focus for a whole week as well as more days this week. Our thanks are also extended for maintaining the operation of our school buildings during this extreme weather.
My thanks to the three of you for your leadership and please feel free to share this message with your members.
Chair, Vancouver School Board
